9/9/2007: Sen Richard J. Durbin, Assistant Majority Leader, and Laura Vanderkam of USA Today, offer endorsements of Cristo Rey and More than a Dream
Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) offered the following reflection about Cristo Rey: "Cristo Rey schools are remarkable examples of what can happen when dreams meet opportunity.  Cristo Rey graduates are tomorrow’s leaders in industry, education and public service.”
Laura Vanderkam, a member of USA Today's Board of Contributors, who has written about Cristo Rey schools for the paper said: "Kearney paints a vivid picture of education, urban America, and the modern Catholic Church's struggle to live Christ's mission of serving the poor. Cristo Rey schools change children's lives. This is a story that needs to be told."

Loyola Press has recently announced that More than a Dream: How One School's Vision is Changing the World, the new book by G.R. Kearney that documents the improbable creation and development of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, will be released on January 15, 2007.
